CARBS AND S.A.P.C

Finally I am starting to collect parts for my rebuilt . As a standard Jap spec model it came with 30mm carbs and 22D00 SAPC unit . Never gave me any problem but at the same time it only produced about 45HP .Un-restricting a SUZUKI RGV is not a difficult task all that is needed is 34mm Carbs and an un-restricted SAPC unit . More information upon SAPC units can be found at rgv250.co.uk .

Mikuni 34mm flatside Carbs

34 mm carbs for higher output and torque than the 30mm standar jap spec ones .

22D30 SAPC UNIT

" This box only opens the pilot air valve between 500-2000 rpm, and is the most common un-restricted SAPC box available"
A new or well preserved un-restricted engine should be making around 52-55HP
Both of them costed me £60 which is rather cheap if you come to think that you gain about 10HP instantly .

(Cheers Joe)

Next on my list : Straight spark plug Heads !!!!

My Suzuki semi-striped!

This is my Suzuki RGV 250 91 model which I bought in 1998 . This is a picture taken two months ago just before I took the engine of the frame . The purpose of my project is to completly rebuilt and restore my Suzuki ..

Few of the mods that will take place :
  • Unrestricted SAPC unit (22D30) or (23D70)
  • Mikuni TM 34
  • New straight plug o-ring heads (Con Dziobon )
  • Replated Cylinders
  • New pistons
  • New rods and bearings
  • New Cranckshaft
  • Crankcase polishing and porting
  • Cylinder Porting
  • SAPC valves pin reinforcement and blending
  • Radiator mod
  • TYGA mild steel exhausts
  • Frame polishing
Being a student and having this king of expectetions means that this project will take a long , but with a few luck and hopfully money by the end of this summer I will have at least a 75% of the
work done .If this all goes well I should be expecting more than 60PS@the rear wheel of my Suzu...
